Q: What is Included in the Cruise Package?

A: The Cruise Package includes the following: A seven day cruise with breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks, entertaining program(s) offered by the ship, cultural events organized by the PAA on board the ship, cretan music entertainment on board the ship, transportation with to museums, excursions and cultural events while in Crete, events organized with the collaboration of local authorities, at the capital of each prefecture, special excursions for youth, formal Banquet in honor of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Karolos Papoulias. Note: Does not include tour and transportation at the sights of Alexandria. We are working very hard to minimize these costs.

Q: In Addition to the Cost of the Cabin, are there Any Other Costs?

A: We have worked very hard to minimize any additional costs that you may incur. There will be, in addition to the cost of the cabin, a port tax of $190.00 per person and each passenger, over 16 years of age, will be charged the amount of 5.00 euros/day, to cover the costs of a tip for the crew. (This is mandatory and it is being charged by all cruise liners to all passengers over 16 years of age).

Q: Will there be any other charges related to the Convention?

A: The PAA, in order to cover some of the Convention administrative costs, will charge a nominal administrative fee (a Convention Package Fee) of $100.00 for adults and $50.00 for the Youth. The PAA will subsidize the administrative costs of the Convention by a similar amount

Q: What is the procedure for reservation and participation at the cruise convention?

A: As of September 1, 2008, 30% of our members (300 persons) have registered to participate. Those Members will be given priority in selecting their cabins. If you have already sent in your deposit, a representative from HOMERIC TOURS will contact you to complete your reservations. Effective October 20th, HOMERIC TOURS will become the official reservations center and cabin selection will be on a first come first serve basis. We encourage you to make your reservations promptly. Please call HOMERIC TOURS at 1-800-223-5570 or 1-212-753-1100 and ask to speak to the Cruise Department, extension x7413. You must reference the Pancretan Association of America Cruise. (Once again, cabin priority will be given to those persons who have already made their reservations and have paid their deposit

Q: At the Convention program is mentioned that during the cruise a wreath deposition will be made at the memorial of “Unknown Soldier” and guided tour at the Acropolis museum. How can someone participate?

A: During your registration you state your wish to participate Question: Can HOMERIC TOURS reserve airline tickets for us? Answer: HOMERIC TOURS is the travel agency for our cruise. HOMERIC TOURS is an experienced, responsible and reliable travel agency, with offices in New York City. They have offered us competitive low prices for air travel from major US destinations to Athens. We recommend that you book your entire trip (air travel, cruise and hotel, if needed) with HOMERIC TOURS, the official travel agency for the 41st PAA National Convention.

Q: Those of us who may already be in Crete prior to the Cruise and for our Cretan members that live in Crete, will there be an option to join the cruise from Heraklion?

A: YES, you may embark at Heraklion, but you must state so, when you make your reservation and when you send in your Convention Registration Form. You may embark at Heraklion. We expect to dock at 7:00 am in the morning. You may not join the Cruise at any other Port, except for Heraklion
